Chica and Pancho

Meet Chica and Pancho! These two are my pride and joy. Pancho, gray colored, is five years old, and Chica, blond tanned, is about 6 years old. I've had Pancho since my freshmen year of high school. I recently got Chica 2 years ago from the animals shelter back in Houston.

Pancho's Story

I was a freshmen in high school when I got Pancho. Now I am a junior in college. During that time of freshmen high school year, my puppy London had passed away. London was very sick and he had a special place in my heart. Well a couple of months later, my mom's friend, whose dog just had chihuahua puppies, offered to give us one of her puppies. When we got Pancho it was a secret thing because my Mom and I never told my Dad about getting Pancho. He wasn't against getting another dog, he was still dealing with the lost of London because he found baby London near a trashcan. Thats why it hit him a little bit more because he give him a second chance in life.

This is Pancho. Pancho is a chihuahua mini. His colors are gray, black and orange.

My Dad was working late that night, so my mom, sister and I had time to hang with Pancho and to really get to know him. When my dad came home, he was very surpised to see a new puppy. Pancho was very scared of my dad because my dad turned all the lights and woke him up. My dad tried to pick Pancho up, but Pancho jumped like a deer to get far away from him. Pancho isn't like this anymore. He loves everyone and loves to eat everyones food. I'm glad we got Pancho, he really has grown up with me. I use to have a chihuahua similar to Pancho while growing up (the first half of my life), but she passed away. She looked like Pancho with the same fur colors. She was also very protective of her owner. She would alway wait for me by the bus stop everytime I would get home from school. Pancho is the same too and he is very protective. I'm glad we got Pancho.

This is London. His fur colors are Black and White. He is a Schnorkie mix. This is London. His fur colors are Black and White. He is a Schnorkie mix.

Chica's Story

Chica is a chihuahua mix. Her colors are tan and white. She also has a heart on her head.

I got Chica at an Animal Shelter in Houston. I really wanted another dog, so Pancho wouldn't be lonely, and I felt like it was time for another pupper. This is the first time we have ever had two dogs. During the time, Houston was going through an overcapacity in animal shelters, so adopting a puppy was very convent. We ended up seeing Chica and getting her. An employee at the shelter said Chica was pregnat with babies and the shelter had to take the unborn babies out in order to spayed her. Just looking at Chica back than made me realized she has gone through a lot, and I wish I knew what those things were, so I can help her recover.

It's been almost two years now, and she has done a full 360 on us. She has 95% recovered. The other 5% is her noise phobia. She gets very scared of loud noises, but other than that she has really changed a lot. She's very happy with my family and Pancho even though he bothers her a lot. lol. My family and I are still trying to figure out what type of chihuahua she is. She doesn't look like regular chihuahuas. I believe she is a mixed chihuahua, but thats besides the point! We still love her no matter what type of chihuahua she is. Chica's personality has changed from shy, closed off to smiling when she's around people. Chica is also very spoil and loves to be carried around like a princess. I'm glad we gave her a second change in life.
